Lolita: My name is Lolita Elizabeth , I’m the most popular junior at Dollywood high, I’m the captain of the dance team, and I’m dating the football captain, Paria. My five best friends are Isabella, Alica, Noelle, Zoe, and Bruno,. I live in Clearwater Florida with my mom and her girlfriend Baya and Jewel , and my half-sister Linda and my pet goldfish Ricky; I’m pretty much the queen bee of the school.
Patrick: I’m Patrick aka Patty Hamewon Mason, I’m the junior loner new guy at Dollywood high, at my old school I was the bass guitarist in a band called Assassin's Blood and was dating the photographer on the newspaper staff, Kimberly. My two best friends –only best friends – are Eamonn the class clown and Matthew the school’s most bad rebel, I recently moved to Florida from Washington with my older sister Alice. The two of us have a dark secret though that only my friends and ex-girlfriend are aware of, that’s what keeps us close almost like best friends protecting each other.
Lolita and her boyfriend Paria spend their morning on the beach when he brings them back to reality where they go to school. in the dream Lolita has she flings herself from a cliff with Paria. in Chemstry she meets the new gothic boy who is also as it turns out her lab partner. they get off on the wrong foot already. on her way to a party Lolita finds the new guy Patrick outside her window claiming to be hunting an animal and gets a ride from him. The next day she has the brilliant idea to throw a party after Patrick attacks her because she ticked him off.
Lolita: (lean against hood Paria’s car holding his hand)
Paria: I guess we’re not going to school today, I mean I love being here with you but I have to be at school by a certain time because I have practice today
Lolita: (turn to him, sigh)
Paria: (kiss Lolita, wrap arms around her tightly)
Lolita: (lock arms around Lolita’s neck & make out with him)
Paria: (pull back and stare at Lolita)
Lolita: (bite lip, run fingers through hair)
Paria: (get in driver’s seat)
Lolita: (get in passenger’s seat)
Paria: (shut door)
Lolita: (shut door, buckle self in, kick feet up on dashboard, press lips together, hold Paria’s hand tightly)
Paria: (pull out of lot)
Lolita: (falls asleep on dashboard)
~Lolita’s dream~
Lolita: (stand on building, curl toes around the edge, focus eyes on Paria, stretch arms out to him, jump)
Paria: if I die now, I love you
Lolita: death is the beginning of a new life Paria (hold his hands) and I’m glad to be spending my afterlife with you so I can keep my status with you.
Paria: so am I
[Lolita & Paria fall into the ice cold pool]
Lolita: (squirm in Paria’s arms)
Paria: I have no status without you
Lolita: (wakes up from dream)
Paria: (slam door shut, hop out, and join jocks)
Lolita: (unbuckle self, kick door open) well… I just love you too
[Isabella, Bruno, Alicia, Noelle, & Zoe stroll up to Lolita]
Zoe: hey Lolita
Lolita: (get out of car, close door)
Zoe: have you heard about the party tonight
Alicia: yeah, Melanie’s hosting it (throw hair over shoulders)
Noelle: (hand Lolita a root beer)
Alicia: (run fingers through hair)
Bruno: (lean close to Zoe)
Zoe: (grin)
Alicia: that means it’ll be amazing
Act 1 scene 2: Chemistry
Lolita: (cross legs)
Bruno: (copy notes for Lolita)
Lolita: (text Alicia)
[Patrick steps into the classroom]
Patrick: (walk to teacher’s desk, and hand schedule)
Mr. Ryan well Patrick Mason I’m the chemistry honors teacher (grumpy grunt)
Bruno: (look up at Patrick, turn around, tap Lolita’s desk)
Mr. Ryan: sit next to Lolita Elizabeth
Patrick: I don’t know who the hell that is (snatch and fold schedule, stick in back pocket)
Lolita: (look up at Patrick)
Patrick: (sigh, walk over to Lolita, sit beside her) … great a preppy girl
Mr. Ryan: you two will be lab partners so get well acquainted with each other (raise an eye brow)
Patrick: (place books on table)
Lolita: (wrinkle nose)
Mr. Ryan: now back to the lesson
Lolita: I’m head dance team captain (snort and run fingers through hair & put phone back in pocket) not a stuck up prep you stupid Gothic freak, don’t hate just because you’re envious of the spotlight
Patrick: I’d die first rather than be jealous of a shallow how (snarl) you possibly sleep around with so many guys behind your boyfriend’s back that you have a status as the school slut, isn’t that what earns you your spotlight
Lolita: you’re out of line (grumble)
Patrick: (raise eye brow & clench teeth)
Lolita: I will ruin your life for this because I’d commit suicide before I’m your lab partner so screw you
Patrick: I don’t care darling so do yourself a favor and shut it because I’m not listening to your blah, blah, blah (clench hands into fists, narrow eyes) as for suicide I’ll hand you a loaded gun so you can do the world a favor an kill yourself
Lolita: go to hell you idiot
Patrick: (grin wickedly & stand up)
Lolita: (shake head) do me a favor and die
Patrick: ladies first (grab books)
Lolita: (bite lip and narrow eyes)
Patrick: I’m going to hell now, maybe I can get the devil to feed me
Lolita: you animal (shake head & grin in annoyance)
Patrick: (raise an eye brow, spin around, bump into Zoe leaving classroom, catch Zoe and hold books)
Zoe: (stare at Patrick)
Patrick: (stare at Patrick)
Lolita: (watch from window)
